American Roots Singer and Songwriter Jason Harrington

“With Jason you always get the real deal. He gravitates towards roots music and that’s reflected in the songs he writes and plays; foot-stomping grooves and cerebral tunes turned social commentary fill his set list and contribute to the authentic feel that Jason is often associated with.” –A.Broussard: Vermilion VEDA

“No tricks; no gimmicks; just pure heart and soul” -D.Legg:

The Independent “Remarkable artist, musician, and crafter of all forms of the written word” -C.Castille: KRVS Public Media

I am a lifelong resident of Louisiana; born and raised in Vermilion Parish, before moving north to Lafayette. While I often find myself in various musical situations; I, first and foremost, consider myself to be a singer and songwriter.

Over the past 25 years I have written, recorded, and performed original compositions as a solo artist and bandleader; releasing six albums, and publishing more than 50 songs. I have also served as a guitarist, fiddler, harmonica player, and vocalist for over a dozen of South Louisiana’s top Cajun, Creole, and Zydeco bands; most recently in support of South Louisiana musical icons Major Handy and Warren Storm, and as a fiddler for The Bluerunners.

I have been blessed with more wonderful musical experiences than I can count, and the incredible atmosphere and musicians of South Louisiana have kept me from needing to travel much for inspiration. That said, I am at a point in my life and career where I feel that it is time to share what I have learned and created with a broader audience.

I look forward to visiting you and bringing a little bit of South Louisiana along with me.
